Crane Rental & Rigging Service Area — Brooklyn & NYC

Empire Crane Rigging NYC serves all five boroughs, Long Island, and nearby New Jersey, and the work changes character by borough. Manhattan lifts mean DOT permits, night and weekend windows, and picks over sidewalks that never fully empty. Brooklyn and Queens mix residential rooftop work — HVAC units, steel, hot tubs, trees — with light commercial construction.

In the Bronx and Staten Island we run more open-lot and industrial picks, and on Long Island, suburban construction and tree work where access is easier but radiuses run longer. Everywhere, the same rule applies: the permit path and the lift plan are settled before the crane rolls, not after it arrives.

Each borough runs its own permit rhythm: Manhattan picks often land in overnight or weekend DOT windows, Astoria and Harlem work around elevated lines and dense parking, and Hempstead and the wider Long Island run on suburban staging with longer radiuses. The area pages spell out what a lift day looks like in that neighborhood — setup footprint, street space needed, and typical permit lead time — so there are no surprises between the quote and the crane's arrival.

Each area page covers the local building stock, access notes, and pricing factors for that neighborhood. Don't see your town listed? If you are within the NYC metro or western Long Island, call (347) 620-1227 — if we cannot help, we will say so plainly and point you to someone who can.

Booking a Lift in Your Area

Permit lead time, not crane availability, sets most schedules — Manhattan street placements can need a week or more of filing runway, while Long Island and outer-borough lifts often book in days. When you call with a date, we work backward from it: filings first, machine second, and a weather backup window agreed before anyone commits a crew. If your date cannot be permitted in time, we tell you on the first call and offer the earliest date that can.
